The Stafford Poetry Competition is now in its fourth year. It was launched in 2008 by Staffordshire Libraries and Stafford District Arts Council. It has a 1000 first prize. The judge is Michael Hulse.

In Olympic Year 2012 we are celebrating the inspiration of Ancient Greece, and the role of Shugborough Hall, Stafford, in the 18th century Greek Revival. We are offering an extra prize of 100 for the best poem with either of these titles - Arcadia or Olympics.
