INSTINC Space is pleased to announce the opening of the inaugural Squares Invasion Painting Competition. This will be the first edition of the painting competition in search of the best square artwork measuring 50cm by 50cm, open to Singapore-based artists of all ages using all media. Winner of Squares Invasion will receive a solo show at INSTINC Gallery in 2012 as well as a one-month artist residency in LW44 in Munich, Germany. There will also be a Peoples Prize awarded to the peoples favourite painting based on public votes. The winner of the Peoples Prize will receive a solo show at Night & Day Gallery in 2012. The competition will begin accepting entries from 1 June 2011, with the online submission deadline on 1 August 2011 and the results announcement on 20 October 2011.
